Every girl deserves to understand her body, experience menstruation with dignity, access the sanitary products she needs, and have the confidence to pursue her dreams.
Peniel’s Girls Charity Organization works with girls and communities to provide menstrual health and hygiene education, sanitary pad support, mentorship and girl-child empowerment—creating opportunities for girls to learn, grow and thrive.
Peniel’s Girls Charity Organization is committed to improving the well-being and opportunities of girls, particularly those who experience barriers to menstrual health, education and personal development.
We combine menstrual health and hygiene education with practical support, empowerment and mentorship so that girls are not only given sanitary products, but also equipped with the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices about their health and future.
"Our work is rooted in dignity, inclusion, compassion and the belief that every girl has the potential to make a meaningful difference in her community and beyond."
Holistic interventions designed to eliminate barriers, restore confidence, and empower schoolgirls to reach their fullest potential.
We provide age-appropriate menstrual health and hygiene education that helps girls understand menstruation, personal hygiene, menstrual-cycle awareness and healthy practices.
We provide sanitary pads to girls who face difficulty accessing menstrual products, helping reduce the barriers that can affect their comfort, confidence and participation in school.
We encourage girls to understand their worth, develop confidence, recognize their potential and believe in the possibilities available to them.
We create opportunities for girls to receive guidance, encouragement and practical knowledge that can support their personal development.
We intentionally reach girls who may be overlooked or underserved, including girls living with disabilities, special basic schools, and blind empowerment foundations—ensuring every girl flows with dignity.
Our approach goes beyond distributing sanitary pads. We believe sustainable change happens when girls receive both the resources they need and the knowledge to use them confidently.

Our work has included menstrual health education, sanitary-pad distribution, school outreach and support for girls living with disabilities.
For many girls, menstruation can become a barrier when they lack access to reliable information, appropriate menstrual products and supportive environments.
We work to change that reality.
When a girl understands her body, has access to menstrual products and feels supported, she can approach her education and future with greater confidence.
It is a gateway to continuous education and comfort.
It replaces fear and confusion with health awareness and body literacy.
It awakens self-worth, courage, and leadership in young girls.
Together, they can help restore dignity, confidence and possibility.

WORDOC 2026 Children’s Summit: Empowering Children to Speak, Learn and Lead The WORDOC 2026 Children’s Summit was a significant child-centred platform that brought together children, educators, civil society organizations, advocates, and other stakeholders to promote children’s rights, wellbeing, inclusion, education, and active participation in issues that affect their lives. The summit provided an enabling environment where children were encouraged to express themselves, share their experiences, learn from one another, and develop the confidence to speak about challenges affecting their growth and development. It also reinforced the importance of creating safe, supportive, and inclusive spaces where every child can learn, participate, and thrive. Peniel’s Girls Charity Organization’s Participation and Impact Peniel’s Girls Charity Organization participated in the WORDOC 2026 Children’s Summit as part of its commitment to advancing the wellbeing, dignity, and empowerment of girls and young people. Our participation focused particularly on menstrual health, menstrual hygiene management, and the elimination of menstrual stigma. Through our engagement at the summit, we contributed to conversations that challenged misconceptions and harmful stereotypes surrounding menstruation. We emphasized that menstruation is a natural and healthy biological process, not a disease or something a girl should be ashamed of. Our intervention also highlighted the challenges many girls face when they lack access to adequate menstrual products, accurate information, appropriate sanitation facilities, and supportive environments. These barriers can affect girls’ confidence, participation, attendance, and overall wellbeing. Key Impact Through our participation, Peniel’s Girls Charity Organization: Raised awareness about menstrual health and hygiene among children and other participants. Challenged menstrual stigma and harmful misconceptions, encouraging more open and respectful conversations about menstruation. Promoted dignity and confidence among girls, reinforcing the message that menstruation should never limit a girl’s ability to learn, participate, or pursue her dreams. Amplified the voices of girls and children, encouraging them to speak openly about issues that affect their wellbeing. Promoted menstrual health education as an essential component of the wellbeing and development of adolescent girls. Encouraged collective responsibility among parents, schools, organizations, communities, and policymakers in creating supportive environments for girls. Strengthened advocacy for menstrual equity, particularly for girls from underserved and vulnerable communities. Connected menstrual health with broader child-rights issues, including education, dignity, inclusion, health, participation, and equal opportunities. Our Message At Peniel’s Girls Charity Organization, we believe that an informed girl is a confident girl, and a confident girl is better equipped to take charge of her future. Our participation at the WORDOC 2026 Children’s Summit further strengthened our commitment to ensuring that no girl is held back because of menstruation, stigma, lack of information, or lack of access to menstrual hygiene products. We remain committed to building a society where girls can menstruate with dignity, learn without interruption, speak without fear, and grow with confidence. WORLD MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY 2026 Creating a Period Friendly World for Every Girl Today, on World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we raise our voices for millions of girls around the world who still face shame, stigma, discrimination, and lack of access to proper menstrual hygiene support. At PENIEL’s Girls Charity Organization, we believe that menstruation is natural, healthy, and normal — never something any girl should suffer for, hide from, or be denied opportunities because of. Sadly, many girls still miss school during their periods due to lack of sanitary pads, inadequate water and sanitation facilities, fear of embarrassment, and limited education about menstrual health. For girls living with disabilities and those in underserved communities, these challenges are often even greater. A truly period friendly world is one where: Every girl has access to safe and affordable menstrual products. Schools provide clean and supportive sanitation facilities. Communities educate both boys and girls about menstruation without shame. Girls can confidently attend school, participate in activities, and pursue their dreams during their periods. Menstrual health conversations are treated with dignity, understanding, and compassion. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to advocating for menstrual equity, dignity, and empowerment for every girl child. As part of this year’s World Menstrual Hygiene Day activities, PENIEL’s Girls Charity Organization is committed to distributing sanitary pads to girls, including girls in special schools and girls living with disabilities, while also creating awareness on menstrual hygiene and ending period stigma. We call on governments, schools, organizations, parents, and communities to join hands in building a society where no girl is left behind because of her period. Together, we can create a world where periods do not limit potentials, interrupt education, or silence confidence. Let us continue to educate, support, and empower girls everywhere. Because every girl deserves dignity. Every girl deserves confidence. Every girl deserves a period friendly world. #MenstrualHygieneDay #MHDay2026 #PeriodFriendlyWorld #EndPeriodStigma #MenstrualEquity #SupportTheGirlChild #GirlsDeserveDignity #PeriodPositive #PadAGirl #EducateEmpowerSupport #PENIELGirlsCharityOrganization #KeepGirlsInSchool #MenstrualHealthAwareness #DignityForGirls #NoGirlLeftBehind

Therefore, I'm thrilled to volunteer my quota to the peniel's movement through which the wings of these objectives can fly"
"I am drawn to Peniel Girls Charity Organisation's mission to empower teenage girls to celebrate their uniqueness and build confidence. As someone passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of women, I believe this organisation aligns with my values. By mentoring and supporting these young girls, I hope to contribute to their growth into confident, empowered women who can reach their full potential."
"The Story of Peniel’s Girls Charity Organization It all started during a simple math class. Kemi was teaching me the basics of mathematics, and during a short break, our conversation took a deeper and profound turn, a heart-to-heart, woman-to-woman discussion. We spoke about the impact we wanted to have in the world, the legacy we hoped to leave behind, and how we could make a difference with what God had placed in our hearts. As I shared my vision, Kemi felt safe enough to discuss about something deeply troubling her, a heart-breaking reality she had witnessed first-hand. Girls living in poverty, unable to afford something as basic as a sanitary pad. I could see the sadness on her face as she described the humiliation these young girls faced, forced to use cloth scraps or fabric instead of proper sanitary products, often leading to genital infections and health complications. Her words struck me deeply. I couldn’t ignore it. I had to do something. Determined to make a difference, I raised funds in the UK, organised collection drives, and sent sanitary pads and funds to Kemi in Nigeria. What started as a small initiative soon grew into something bigger. Today, I am incredibly proud to say that Kemi has officially established Peniel’s Girls Charity Organization, working tirelessly to improve the lives of young girls. Through her organisation, girls not only receive sanitary products but also gain valuable knowledge and life skills: 1️⃣ How to take care of their bodies. 2️⃣ How to use sanitary pads properly. 3️⃣ How to track and understand their menstrual cycle. 4️⃣ Beyond menstrual health, they are also taught self-respect, confidence, and empowerment, shaping them into young women their country can be proud of. Our Vision ???? A world where every girl has access to safe and affordable sanitary products, education, and opportunities, ensuring no girl misses school or suffers due to menstrual health. What started as heart-to-heart, woman-to-woman discussion as now become a transformational movement for change. With love and dedication, Carole SIMB, Matron, Peniel’s Girls Charity Organization"
